Celebrating 75 Years of Logan

Link HallwayIn 1950, a small group of people, brought together through the shared idea that they could help make the lives of individuals with disabilities, and their families, better, gathered their limited resources and sought to create a center that could be a vital resource for these people. Through their own determination and the generosity of others, they created the LOGAN Center, a place for people with disabilities and their families to seek resources for a community long forgotten.

The landscape of the University of Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s College campuses as well as the city of South Bend has undergone significant transformation since its early history in the 19th century. While some buildings and landmarks remain, many have been lost to time due to neglect, disaster, or simply no longer fulfilling their original purpose. Today, only fragments of these lost structures survive – through stories, photographs, and memories.
